| Dan Weiss, drums: started playing
drums at the age of six. He attended Manhattan School of Music studying drums and composition. He has played
with Lee Konitz, Kenny Werner, Village Vanguard Orchestra, Dave Binney, Ravi Coltrane, and Wayne Krantz. He has
recorded for Omnitone, Fresh Sound/New Talent, Arabesque, Criss Cross, and Act record labels. He has been studying
tabla for the past seven years under the careful guidance of Pandit Samir Chatterjee, and has performed classical
Indian music with Ramesh Mishra , Mandira Lahiri , Subra Guha, Anoushka Shankar and Steve Gorn. |
